Overview

Alois Musil, a Catholic priest, is one of the most important discoverers of archaeological treasures in the Muslim world. Musil was in the Middle East when the First World War broke out, and the Austro-Hungarian government of the time attempted to recruit him as a spy, leading to him being known as the Moravian Lawrence of Arabia.

The Moravian priest became a nomad, and during one of his expeditions, he discovered the ancient Fortress of Amra, which made him famous worldwide. A man who played a crucial role in connecting the Muslim and Christian worlds.
